Prefabricated stone shower systems

Three seams.
Not three
hundred feet
of grout.

Your shower is cut and built at our shop. It arrives finished. We install it in three days — and the dust never enters your house.

Standard configurations
$16,000–$17,000

Installed, tear-out included, most standard alcove and corner sizes. Custom sizes quoted after the field measure.

What the price covers
01 / The problem

Grout is the part that fails.

Nothing goes wrong with the tile. What goes wrong is the joint between the tiles — it absorbs, it stains, it grows mold, and eventually water finds the wall behind it. A tiled shower is a waterproofing system with hundreds of feet of seam. Ours has three.

Tiled shower

≈150 ft
of grout joint

Estimated for a 60×32 alcove with 12×24 wall tile and a 2×2 mosaic floor. The mosaic floor alone accounts for more than half of it.

Monolith

3 seams
total, epoxy-filled

Full-height panels. Where two panels meet, the joint is filled with epoxy grout — non-porous, does not absorb water, does not host mold.

02 / What you actually live through

We do the dirty work at our shop.

Your garage

No tile saw. No wet cutting station. No pallets of material stacked where you park.

Your house

No fine dust tracked down the hall and into the bedrooms for two weeks. Demo is contained, and everything after demo arrives finished.

Your driveway

You are not washing slurry off the concrete after we leave. Cutting happens in Auburn, not at your curb.

03 / How it runs

Measured once. Built once. Installed in three days.

The order below is the whole job. The three days on site are the only days we are in your house.

Step 01

Field measure

We measure the opening, check the framing and the drain location, and confirm the configuration and the number — in writing, before you decide anything.

Step 02

Fabrication at our shop

Panels are cut, edged, and dry-fitted in Auburn. Niches, benches and the curb are built to your dimensions before anything is delivered.

Day 1  ·  on site

Tear-out and substrate

Old shower comes out under containment. Framing corrected where needed, waterproofing system installed and flood-tested per manufacturer instructions.

Day 2  ·  on site

Panels set, seams closed

Panels are set, seams filled with epoxy grout, and the final bead of silicone goes down on day two — so it is fully cured by the time we hand the shower over.

Day 3  ·  on site

Glass, trim, walkthrough

Door or panel, fixtures, trim, clean-up, and a walkthrough with you. You shower that evening.

04 / Material

Sintered stone panels.

Mineral powder pressed and fired into large-format slabs. It is not a solid-surface composite and not a resin panel — it is a fired mineral surface with effectively zero water absorption. That single property is why the wall behind it stays dry.

Water absorption
Effectively non-porous.Nothing to soak up soap, body oil or shampoo — which is what feeds mold in a grout joint.
Joints
Epoxy grout at panel seams only.Epoxy grout is non-porous and chemically resistant. It does not need sealing, and it does not darken over time the way cementitious grout does.
Cleaning
Soap and water. No sealer, ever.No annual re-seal, no grout brush, no bleach pen along the floor line.
Heat & stain
Fired at high temperature, UV stable, resistant to household chemicals.
Waterproofing
Full LATICRETE system behind the panels.Bonded waterproofing membrane, flood-tested, installed as a complete manufacturer-specified system — which is what makes the 25-year system warranty applicable.
Where it is made
Imported large-format slabs. Fabricated and assembled in our Auburn, Washington shop.We do not claim the slab is American — it is not. The cutting, edging and assembly are.
05 / Pricing

One number, written down before we start.

Standard alcove and corner showers run $16,000–$17,000 installed, tear-out included. Curbless walk-ins and openings outside the standard sizes are a custom fabrication, priced after the field measure — same process, same materials.

06 / Warranty

Three warranties, stacked.

One covers our labor. Two come from the manufacturers, and both have conditions — they are printed here rather than buried, because a warranty you cannot claim is not a warranty.

5

Years — our workmanship

Installation, seams, waterproofing execution. If it leaks because of how we built it, we come back and fix it.

Written terms are handed to you at the measure, before you sign.
25

Years — slab manufacturer

Manufacturer warranty on the slab itself, covering manufacturing defects. Length depends on the slab line you choose — up to 25 years.

Most manufacturers require registration within months of purchase. We register it in your name at handover and give you the invoice.
25

Years — LATICRETE system

Covers the waterproofing and setting materials against defect and deterioration — and, unusually, covers the labor to replace them.

Requires the complete specified LATICRETE system. Non-transferable. Claims within 30 days. Excludes structural movement and substrate failure.
07 / The number

What the price covers.

There is one number and it is written down before we start. If something is not on the left-hand list, it is not in the price — and we tell you at the measure, not on day two.

08 / Straight answers

The questions everyone asks.

Is three days real?

Three days on site, yes — because the shower is already built when it arrives. What makes it possible is that the cutting, edging and dry-fitting happen at the shop over the days before. The one thing we will not compress is the flood test on the waterproofing; if it needs to sit, it sits.

Can it be done in a week with a permit and inspection?

Depends on the jurisdiction and on whether plumbing moves. If nothing moves and no permit is required, three days is the schedule. If an inspection is in the path, the inspector's calendar sets the date — nobody controls that, and any contractor who tells you they do is guessing.

What if my opening is not a standard size?

Then it is a custom fabrication. Same process, same materials, priced after the field measure. Most bathrooms in this area are within an inch or two of a standard alcove or corner size.

Why is there no cheaper option?

Because the cheaper option is a tiled shower, and that is a different product with a different failure mode. We only build one thing, and we build it one way.

Who actually does the work?

Our own crew — no subcontractors. The company is a King County remodeling contractor with over ten years of shower and bathroom work behind it.
